Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Design and Production
1. What information do you need for Graphic Design?
Website Design? Multimedia Production?
Tell us about your business and industry, your target audience, your favorite colour
themes, how your company or organization wants to be perceived, and, of course,
your contact information. Provide us with any specific text, images and/or materials
in other media you wish to include. We’ll discuss further with you to clarify your
requirements and objectives before we proceed.
2. How long does it take for a graphic design to be ready?
It takes about three working days to create a mock-up logo design, print ad, or
banner ad for your selection.
3. How many designs will you send me?
Based on our understanding of your business needs and requirements, our graphic
designers will develop a number of designs, from which we typically present two
for your consideration. With your feedback, we provide further enhancement to the
design of your choice. We can also produce additional designs upon special request.
4. Who owns the copyright to my logo?
You receive full ownership rights to your logo upon final payment. SRe does not
recycle logo designs or use clipart. Be assured that your logo is custom designed
and unique.
5. Can I order a design if I don't live in Canada?
We serve clients all over the world. We can communicate and send files to you via
the Internet in your preferred formats.
6. Tell me again why I need a website?
Simple: Your website gives your business worldwide exposure around the clock; 365
days a year. You can reach out to your existing or prospective customers locally,
nationally and internationally. Your website is extremely cost-effective, optimizes
your online marketing activities and ensures consistency of information (compared
with employees answering questions). It is a Must Have for companies doing business
in the 21st century!
7. How much will a website cost?
Every website is different. The custom design price will depend on the number of
pages, contents, graphics, functions (e.g. online sales), and interactive features.
SRe offers an affordable value-loaded Website Design Essentials Special Package
that will take care of the basic needs of most websites (see
Website Design). You
may also require web hosting and domain name registration.
8. How long does it take to get a website up and running?
Allow three weeks for a basic website. It takes about four working days to come
up with two different versions of website design for you to choose from. The three
weeks allows for proper communication, design, two iterations of customer review
and any necessary changes. More complex websites may require more time. Speedy turnaround
depends on the client providing web contents, feedback and approval in a timely
fashion throughout the process.
9. How much do you charge for website updates?
We charge an hourly rate of $30.00 CAD for web content updates based on a minimum
of 2 hours for each service call.
10. Can I update my website myself?
Yes. SRe can provide you with a Web Content Management Tool at a cost.
11. What is Web Hosting?
Web hosting is a monthly fee that you pay to have your site accessible on the Internet.
SRe provides web hosting for our clients.
12. Why do I need Multimedia Production?
People find motion and sound far more engaging and memorable than static text. The
use of multimedia is a high impact way to showcase your product or service professionally.
Viewers tend to retain the information for longer.
13. How long does it take to put together a storyboard for multimedia production?
After our initial discussion, we'll present you with a storyboard within five working
days for your approval.
14. Can you use my own logo, text and images in a new multimedia production?
Yes, definitely. We work with you to incorporate essential company information.
We also suggest additional information you could include, and formats you might
want to use to strengthen your messages and enhance your corporate image.
15. Can I use the same multimedia production for my website and for presentation
at trade shows?
Not a problem. We can convert the multimedia production into Flash or any appropriate
formats in small file size suitable for the web and also for display by normal DVD
player.
16. Can I look at samples of your work?
Please do; view our Graphic Design, Website Design and Multimedia Production Portfolios.
